TO AMEND COUNCIL BILL CB040-91 APPROVING CONTRACTING OF THE
BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM WITH THE
CONDITION THAT THE TRIBE REMAIN UNDER THE PROTECTION OF THE
BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS' PROVISIONAL COURTS
To amend Council Bill CB040-91 approving contracting of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Law Enforcement Program,, with the condition that the Tribe remain under the protection of the Bureau of Indian Affairs' Provisional Courts.
Whereas, CB040-91, dated January 12 1991, originally approved contracting of the Law Enforcement Program, and
Whereas, CB074-91, dated March 9, 1991 amended CB040-91, and
Whereas, the Tribe desires to amend CB040-91 to clarify the Tribes intent to contract the Bureau of Indian Affairs Law Enforcement Program only, and the Choctaw Nation requests that the Tribe remain under the protection of the BIA's provisional courts.
Therefore be it enacted by the Tribal Council of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma that this Act be cited as approval for amendment of CB040-91, contracting the Law Enforcement Program only, excluding the Court system, under the conditions described herein.

Speaker Bobb recognized Randle Durant. Mr. Durant read and accepted the following Council Bill.
MOTION: That the Tribal Council adopts the following Council Bill.
To approve an agreement with United Bankcard to provide a credit card bearing the name and other markings of the Choctaw Nation.
Whereas, the Choctaw Nation and United BankCard desire to establish a mutually beneficial Program wherein the members and other affiliated parties of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma shall be entitled to receive a credit card bearing the name and other markings of the Choctaw Nation, and
Whereas, United BankCard, a financial institution located at 5700 North Portland Avenue, Suite 200, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73112, ("United") , is an issuer of such cards, an, ,
Whereas, the Choctaw Nation desires to furnish marketing aids and identification of such members and affiliated persons in return for fair consideration.
Therefore be it enacted by the Tribal Council of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma that this Act be cited as approval for the attached Agreement with United BankCard to provide a credit card under the conditions herein.
