Patrick J. Fisher, Jr.
Clerk of Court
Elisabeth A. Shumaker
Chief Deputy Clerk
Dear Counsel:
Attached is a 3"x5" card form to apply for admission to the bar of this court. Admission is a prerequisite to practice before the court. See10th Cir. R. 46.2. 1.
Please return the completed APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION AND MOTION FOR ADMISSION card together with the $15.00 admission fee, payable to "Patrick Fisher, Trustee." (Note: The admission fee is waived for any attorney appointed by the court to represent a party to an appeal.)
Eligibility and procedure for admission are governed by Fed. R. App. P. 46 (a) and 10th Cir. R. 46.2.2. The motion for admission must be signed by a member of the bar of this court. If that is inconvenient, you may provide us with an original certificate of good standing, issued in the last 90 days, from the Supreme Court of the United States, the highest court of a state, another United States Court of Appeals, or a United States District Court and request the clerk to move you admission.
Entry of your social security number in the space provided on the application is optional; however that number may assist the court to distinguish between bar members with identical or similar names.
Once admitted to the bar of this court, you need not reapply for admission, unless you have been suspended or disbarred by the court.
If you have questions regarding your admission, please write or call this office.
Sincerely,
Attachment
